Black and White Embroidered Vest

Handmade black and white wool vest with embroidered details and black fringe. This vest was donated by the family of Stergos and Katholiki Trintis. The garment was handmade by someone in their village of Kattavia in Rhodes, Greece in the early 20th century. It was worn daily by Stergos Fantis, who worked as a goat herder in Kattavia and passed away in 1958.
